(Yaphank, NY, July 20, 2012)  Ultra Green Energy Services (UGES) formally opened its biodiesel rail transload facility at the Brookhaven Rail Terminal (BRT) in Yaphank, NY on Thursday, July 20, 2012.  The company also announced plans to open a public biodiesel pumping facility at the terminal in the near future, where trucks and cars can fill their tanks with road-qualified B20 biodiesel.

Ultra Green Energy Services offers fuel suppliers the best accessibility to a ratable supply of biodiesel indexed to NYMEX heating oil with flexible pricing mechanisms to reduce the impact of volatility on profit margins. The company operates one of the largest biodiesel terminal networks in the Northeast.  The BRT operations will be supplying biodiesel for Long Island, and backing up the New Hyde Park terminal supplying western LI and New York City.  With these facilities in place, and additional rail and truck rack terminals throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, UGES is uniquely positioned to meet the demand from the October 1 implementation of the NY City Bioheat mandate.

“Our newest transload facility at BRT is just the latest implementation of our commitment to serving the fuel industry. Since 2001, we’ve been providing biodiesel with the highest level of professionalism, reliability and ratability,” said UGES Vice President Michael Cooper.  “We offer risk management, dying, injection blending, and premium diesel along with our biodiesel distribution services, to provide our customers with custom solutions to their fuel needs.”

The Grand Opening was attended by many industry leaders, including Ray Hart of Hart Petroleum; Paul Nazzaro of the NBB; and company leaders from Global Partners, Northville Industries, Petro, Yankee Oil, MnS Fuel, General, Quogue Sinclair, Windsor Oil, and others.  In addition, the company was honored with representatives from the federal, state, NYC, and Nassau and Suffolk County legislative and executive branches.

Ultra Green supplies biodiesel through the largest network of wholesale terminals in the NY/NJ Metropolitan Region.  UGES principals were among the first to market biodiesel in 1999 and have been blending Bioheat since 2001. UGES now operates in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.

In addition to biodiesel and biofuel distribution, Ultra Green Energy Services also offers comprehensive buying solutions including custom risk and margin management, premium diesel distribution, wholesale fuel terminal operations, transportation and logistics, flexible pricing mechanisms, and complete fuel quality assurance.
